From the volcanic soils of Mount Gambier / Berrin over a limestone bed below and flint lines beneath the soil. The eruption deposited volcanic ash throughout the Mount Gambier region. This year sees this wine with a 100% Dijon 777 clone from younger vines. The warm year has resulted in ripeness, deep colour and ripe tannin structure while still retaining the Pinot’s aromatic elegance. A slightly different style to what we are used to from a Mount Gambier Pinot Noir. Still a fruit-driven Pinot Noir beaming with natural acidity. Darker fruits, higher concentration. A crunchy texture with cranberry and clove notes. Heavier in style and character, making it opulent yet refined.
