Grown on Mount Gambier / Berrin's heavy volcanic ash soils; the volcanic and limestone soils below bring natural acidity with soft and plush tannins. Late harvesting (mid-April) helps to ripen the fruit. Whole berry fermentation undertaken with extremely gentle handling results in a juicy yet elegent fruit forward style of Pinot.
